I get much satisfaction from supplying a customer with exactly what he/she wants in a professional, courteous and friendly manner. I am frequently complimented on the quality of product and the packaging - see customer feedback on website. Unfortunately there are some carrier employees who simply do not care about the property of others and the cost plus inconvenience that may result from careless handling. Also, some people will take advantage. Those few spoil things for the majority which is why it is necessary to spell out the following:.

Terms and conditions of supply.

The order:

Because each item is unique to the customer, manufacture is not started until after payment is received.
Item / Order specification:
The low prices which I intend to continue to offer sometimes do not provide a sufficient margin to absorb additional costs after build has commenced or items despatched. It is important therefore that specifications for the item(s) and special delivery arrangements where applicable and that are given by me in an order acknowledgement, are checked and confirmed either by return email or by post.

Product guarantee:

In the event an error does arise and the fault is mine, the item will either be replaced or some other form of compensation negotiated. Notification must be received within 10 days of despatch.

Loss or damage in transit :

There has never been a non-delivery. Damage in transit over the past 3 years accounts for less than 1% of all items despatched. There has also been 2 instances in 2005 where claims for damage have falsely been made and discovered Therefore my past practice of immediately providing a replacement and then to negotiate compensation with the carriers, has ceased. All damage claims will be subject to a physical inspection of the item and original packaging.
There is no facility available where full value insurance can be provided through a carrier e.g. cost of carriage is always excluded and it is rare that the full item value is awarded. Therefore, whilst every effort is taken to ensure correct addressing, adequate packaging etc., any claim for loss or damage in transit will be processed with the carrier and their inspectors and compensation will be the amount awarded by them unless the item has been otherwise insured at the time of ordering.

Insurance
:
To cover the difference between that awarded by the carrier and the full amount you have paid per item, transit insurance (applies to UK ZONE 1 postcodes only) is available at additional cost amounting to 17% of the cost of the item. Insurance when required must be arranged at the time of placing the order.
